Discover the locations where the championship will take place. From the main event venue at Vila Vipolže to dedicated training sites, each location has been carefully selected to provide the best experience for competitors and spectators.
Event Venues
Vila Vipolže
A restored Renaissance villa surrounded by vineyards, known for cultural events, weddings, gastronomy, and scenic relaxation in the Brda wine region. It will host the opening ceremony, number draw, and reception on Wednesday, and the festive dinner on Friday. Parking is at the stadium (10-minute walk to the villa).
Competition Locations
Vipolže Stadium
The center of events will be in Goriška Brda, where obedience and dexterity course competitions, the gala dinner, as well as the opening and closing ceremonies of the championship will take place at the newly renovated Vipolže Stadium. Surrounded by vineyards that are a source of local pride, and set in a beautiful, relaxed coastal environment, the vibrant atmosphere will be enriched by booths offering dog equipment and food, along with local vendors showcasing Slovenian delicacies.
Ajševica
The area search will take place in the Vipava Valley. A dense mixed forest will provide conditions befitting the level of the competition. In April, temperatures in the Vipava Valley rise to early-summer levels, presenting an additional challenge for competitors.
Ig, ICZR RS
The rubble search will take place in the somewhat more remote town of Ig, where the rubble site at the Training Center for Protection and Rescue will be specially adapted and renovated for this occasion. Parking is in front of Spar store.
Banjšice
Tracking will take place in an idyllic setting on the Banjšice Plateau. It is the only plateau in Slovenia where visitors can admire the beauty of the Julian Alps on one side and, on the other, the magic of the Gulf of Trieste and Venetian Slovenia.
Training
Poligon Ajševica
Training sessions will take place from Thursday, April 16, to Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Handlers are responsible for coordinating and agreeing on their training times within this window – there is no fixed timetable. We would like to thank Kinološko društvo Nova Gorica and Društvo reševalnih psov Nova Gorica for letting us use their facilities.
